GET INSPIRED, EMBRACE YOUR FEAR!

Just my thought...

In recent times, there has been increase in emerging entrepreneurs. More people now manage their own businesses and not relying on paid jobs. Who would blame them. In times like this when economy in most countries are not favourable, lay-offs are sure to be the common trend and exactly that is what we are experiencing in the world today. Imagine the tragedy when people with no other means of livelyhood are laid off. It would be as if the world is crashing on them. Especially when there are kids to cater for. You can imagine how life would turn around for such a person.
Though it's interesting that the spirit of entrepreneurship is on the rise these days because we see new small businesses spring up and are quite doing well. Still, more awareness needs to be made. I think the problem with most people is fear. If you'll agree with me, the only thing holding us back each time we want to attempt something new is the fear of 'what if it fails'. This fear discourages people from doing so many things that would have impacted their life positively or even change their life for ever.  There has to be sacrifices for success to be achieved; nothing good comes easy. There is this popuplar saying...'No pain no gain' and that is the point. Most people are afraid of going through any form of loss or suffering. We have to keep in mind that no good thing comes easy. The first step is to face our fear. It might not be easy at first and we might be faced with failure for the first time but to win we mustn't give up; winners don't quit. Failing doesn't mean loss; it's an oppotunity to learn more. You only lose when you don't learn from your mistakes and quit. The simple truth that you and I need to accept is that we cannot get anywhere if we don't overcome this fear. You'll agree with me that most successful people in this world are people that dare to do things others are afraid of doing. They do things that no one has ever done and get the result no one ever got. They dare to dare! Some people has experienced a sudden change of status from pauper to multi-millonaires because they dare to challenge their greatest fear. We need to get ourselves out of this bondage by taking the bull by horn. Overcoming our fear is a pre-requisite to achieving ones dreams.
Today, there are so many successful people sharing their experiences on how they achieved their goals and so many have got inspired through them. You too can!
I was reading an article online recently and I saw this;

15 tips for new entrepreneurs

1. Anyone who tells you to fake it until you make it hasn’t made it.
2. Work harder than everyone else
3. In the beginning you will be pulling double duty working and starting your business and you have to be willing to put in really long days. Too bad, we’ve all had to do the same thing.
4. Don’t spend all of your money on your first run of products. Things always change from what your first idea was and you want to be able to have money to make new things.
5. If it sells out, you can always make more.
6. Date someone who is inspired by your work ethic and understands it, not someone who views it as a detriment or point of contention.
7. Getting feedback and constructive criticism is always good, but the final decisions need to be made based off of what you think is right.
8. Pursue a business that will keep you inspired and is true to you. Honesty in what you do is recognized.
9. Be willing to say no to opportunities that are too big for where you are realistically. Going broke producing something you can’t afford to make is a bad idea. Get their contact and follow up when the time is right.
10. If you are trying to chase a fad, you’re already too late.
11. Don’t be afraid to cold call. Some of my largest accounts were landed by picking up the phone, sending samples and following up after.
12. You will have some pretty big failures and you need to learn from them and keep moving forward.
13. Stay humble and share your knowledge with others.
14. Every market is oversaturated. The people in it for the wrong reasons weed themselves out quickly, so don’t concern yourself too much unless your competition is hungrier than you are.
15. If you ever think there’s nothing to do, you are wrong and being lazy.
